Celebrity astrologer and tarot card reader Munisha Khatwani, who has been a part of shows like Tantra and Apne Paraye, to name a few, and was last seen on Bigg Boss OTT season 3, says that OTT platforms not only give the audience a wide variety of content to choose from but also offer artists the ability to express themselves without any restrictions.
She said, “I do believe that the OTT platforms offer more creative freedom to actors and the sort of roles and everything that are offered, the sort of way, the dialogue, the shot-taking, and it's much bolder, and there is no restriction on OTT as such.”
She mentioned that after Bigg Boss, people have started to look at her differently. “People recognize me a lot now from Bigg Boss, and generally, I think that OTT has picked up to be as famous as TV or film. It's not like any lesser medium. In fact, it is probably the biggest medium. And I think it has worked for me because a lot of people like to watch OTT,” she added.
Though she stressed that she hasn’t got too many offers at the moment for OTT, she is looking to sign up for something soon. She said, “I'm really hoping that something comes my way that is positive and beneficial to me. There is a film that I have shot for, which is Ayutthaya Khan's OTT debut. I'm waiting for that to come out, and I'm playing myself in that, India's leading tarot card reader.“
Munisha also stressed that with the OTT boom, there is work for everybody and added, “I think that works out to be perfect because, you know, it gives so much of hope to the people, which I mean to actors and to the people who are not working or to the people who are looking for career opportunities; it definitely gives a lot of hope.”
She also mentioned that the content on OTT has become bold, and it has somewhere also normalized it. “It doesn't kind of seem to be like out of the box anymore when you see like a bold scene or a lovemaking scene or anything; it just seems so normal, and I think it's normal for everybody at the moment. So I don't; I think there is not so much change that has come in this. Sorry, I mean, there's so much change that has come in the way people view OTT,” she ended.
