Exclusive - Bigg Boss 19: Gizele Thakral reveals Gaurav Khanna is her favourite contestant; says 'He has the temperament, the calmness, and the likability to go all the way'

Former Bigg Boss Hindi contestant and recent Bigg Boss Malayalam participant Gizele Thakral has finally opened up about where her loyalties lie this season. Interestingly, she admits she hasn’t been able to follow the show from the beginning — and she has a strong reason for it.

“I’m not really following Bigg Boss this time because when it started, I myself was inside the Bigg Boss house,” she shares, laughing at the irony. “And honestly, to support someone strongly, you need to watch from the very start.”




Still, like most of India, Gizele hasn’t been able to escape the daily flood of Bigg Boss clips and controversies on Instagram. Based on what she’s seen so far, her loyalties have shifted over time. “Initially, I was supporting Kunickaa ji,” she says. “I’ve admired her personality and the grace she brought into the house. But now that she’s eliminated, I think Gaurav is emerging as one of the strongest players.”

Gizele believes Gaurav has a major advantage — his long-standing connection with TV audiences. “Gaurav is extremely popular and a household face. That kind of recall really matters in Bigg Boss,” she adds. “From whatever I’ve seen, he has the temperament, the calmness, and the likability to go all the way. I genuinely feel he has a good chance to win.”

Having lived the Bigg Boss experience not once but twice — first in the Hindi season and more recently in Bigg Boss Malayalam — Gizele understands the game more intimately than most. “People think Bigg Boss is just about drama, but it’s a lot more complex,” she explains. “Your mental strength, your personality, your ability to handle pressure — everything comes into play. That’s why I respect contestants who stay real and consistent.”

For now, Gizele says she’ll continue catching highlights online, but she’s happy with where her support has landed. “Kunicka Sadanand ji was my first choice, but with her gone, I’m rooting for Gaurav Khanna. Let’s see how the season unfolds — Bigg Boss always knows how to surprise us!”

With fans eager to know who wins this year, Gizele’s endorsement adds an interesting voice to the ongoing buzz — especially coming from someone who has survived the reality show’s pressure cooker from the inside.
