Exclusive - Bigg Boss 18 fame Shrutika Arjun confirmed for ‘The 50’
Upcoming reality show, The 50 has been creating a lot of buzz for its unique format, contestant lineup. While the confirmed list of contestants continue to make headlines, the latest we have learnt is that Bigg Boss 18 fame Shrutika Arjun has been roped in for the show.
A source close to the show informed Times of India TV that Shrutika has been locked for the show and she is one of the confirmed players for the season. She has agreed to be a part of the captive reality show.
Shrutika began her acting journey with South films and later rose to massive popularity through the Tamil cooking reality show Cook with Comali. She was declared as the winner of the cooking-comedy show in 2022. However, her journey in entertainment started much earlier. She made her film debut in 2002 and went on to appear in the 2003 Malayalam film Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam, where she played Ammu opposite Suresh Gopi and Kunchako Boban.
For the uninitiated, Shrutika is married to businessman Arjun Raaj, and the couple has a son named Arav. They tied the knot in 2011 after a long courtship that began through social media. Shrutika often shares glimpses of their family life on social media.
Other actors who have been finalised for the show are Karan Patel, Mr Fairu, Monalisa and her husband Vikrant Singh Rajpoot, Divya Agarwal, Chahat Pandey, Digvijay Singh Rathee amongst others. The reality show is quite different from Bigg Boss and is being promoted as one of the biggest reality shows on Indian television. Unlike regular formats, The 50 brings 50 celebrities together under one roof for around 50 episodes. What makes it unique is that viewers don’t just watch the show, they actively take part by selecting contestants to support, and if their chosen contestant wins, they receive a share of the prize money.
