Renowned television producer and actor Sandiip Sikcand, who has produced shows like Dhai Kilo Prem, Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, Mehendi Hai Rachne Waali amongst others is in talks for the upcoming season of the most controversial reality show, Bigg Boss.
Sources close to the show informed ETimes TV that the makers have approached Sandiip for the upcoming season.
He was in talks with the makers last year also, but things did not materialise. However, this year they have approached him again and if everything falls into place, Sandiip will be seen in the Bigg Boss 17 house.
Sandiip's association with the controversial reality show is not new. Sandiip Sikcand helmed the first season of the biggest reality show ever made on TV, Bigg Boss, where he closely worked with the channel and also added an extra G to the Big which is now spelled as Bigg Boss. Not just that, Sandiip has appeared as a panel member on the show in previous seasons. He was seen in the last season as well and had raised sharp questions in front of the contestants.
In our earlier interview, Sandiip had also talked about the changes Bigg Boss has gone through over the years, "Bigg Boss has changed drastically since 2006 when we introduced it. The only thing that has not changed is the spelling Bigg Boss which we had brought about in terms of spell change. It's been 16 years and it sure seems to be picking up but I feel it was much better back then. The first lot from our darling Anupama Rupali Ganguly to Amit sadh to Rakhi sawant the first time she was there that episode was roaring there or we did not know what to expect. It was so raw and real. Today I feel it's all very standard typical characters in the house like mudda banana hai and women centric issues and they feel that gets them the eye balls. I feel the show over the years has not changed for the better. I feel the contestants in today's time are getting fake by the year and that's sad. I don't find them genuine. This season the only two people I feel are not fake are Shiv Thakare and Abdu Rozik. I personally like and love the show and yes I do follow it. I feel the contestants this year are very fake and it's all camera driven. It feels lovely to know something started by me has moved leaps and bounds and is still doing so well. It feels fantastic."
Sandiip now wants to venture into acting and he had even shared a post asking for work. He shared a long post on Instagram and shared that he has always been an actor first and has acted in films like Murder. He further stated that he would continue to produce and make shows but he knows he has a lot to offer as an actor and he is looking forward to acting projects.
