Exclusive- Ayushi Khurana on spending winters with her favourite cuisine, says 'Simple joys like sipping hot chai, and indulging in Gajar Ka Halwa'
Winters are one of the most adored seasons, in an exclusive conversation with TOI TV, Ayushi Khurana gets candid about enjoying the weather, her favourite cuisines and her happy memories. Here's what she had to share:
Ayushi Khurana who essays the role of Reet in Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile said, “I absolutely love winters! As someone who feels cold easily, I eagerly look forward to pulling out my collection of jackets, sweaters, and cardigans every year. Living in Delhi, winters have a special charm. Crisp mornings and chilly evenings are perfect for layering up and savouring simple joys like sitting on the terrace, wrapped in cosy blankets, sipping hot chai, and indulging in Gajar Ka Halwa straight from the kitchen. Since moving to Mumbai, I miss these moments dearly. However, I make it a point to visit Delhi every winter—last year, I even got married on a cold breezy night, making the season even more special for me.”
Ayushi had earlier shared how she had her real wedding amid her reel wedding shoot, “It felt like life had given me a perfect dress rehearsal for my own wedding. The rituals we performed on set mirrored those of my real wedding so closely that, by the time my big day arrived, I felt fully prepared. It was a surreal experience. The reel wedding was grand and cinematic, infused with the magic of storytelling, while my real wedding was intimate, heartfelt, and profoundly meaningful. Not everyone gets the chance to live such a beautiful experience twice, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had these moments both on-screen and in real life. It’s a story I’ll treasure and share for the rest of my life.”
