Exclusive! Asmita Sood to tie the knot with beau next year

Asmita Sood is all set to get married next year. The actress, who was last seen in the TV show Janam Janam Ka Saath, recently got engaged to her boyfriend and businessman Siddh Mehta, who is based in Rajkot. Asmita met Siddh around a year-and-a-half ago through her work partner.
Talking about the proposal, an excited Asmita told us, “Siddh proposed with a beautiful ring when we were in Prague a few days ago. He planned a surprise in a park and while proposing, told me that he wants to spend his life with me travelling around the world. I met him when I was organising a music festival. We became friends and I realised that we had a lot in common. We dated for a year and now we are ready to take our relationship to the next level. The wedding will happen next year and we are very happy.”
Given that Siddh is based in Rajkot, while Asmita lives in Mumbai, how do they manage the long distance? She said, “I have found a very caring and loving man in Siddh. He has his own business in Rajkot and I don’t mind relocating there. His family is nice and we get along well. Currently I am happy that I have found someone. In fact, last year I was not in a frame of mind to get married as I was focussed on my career. I also kept travelling a lot due to my music festivals. But I have found a great caring and loving guy in Siddh. He puts me first and pampers me a lot. Which girl would not like that?"
Talking about her marriage plans, she said, "We want to have a small wedding, mostly somewhere away from Mumbai. Hopefully, things should be in place by early next year."
