In an exclusive chat with us earlier this month, Arti Singh spilled the beans on her impending wedding. The Waaris actress is tying the knot with Dipak Chauhan, a businessman from Navi Mumbai, on April 25. Clearing the air around her being in a relationship with Dipak, Arti told us that hers is an arranged marriage and the two were introduced in July this year through private matchmakers.
She also spoke about her birthday plans for April 5 and called Dipak the best gift so far. When asked why she kept her relationship and wedding plans under wraps for so long, she replied, “I simply wanted it to become a reality and not remain an illusion, as I have experienced for so many years. Previously, I would have shouted from the rooftops, but this time, I wanted to stay quiet and that’s the serenity Deepak brings to my life. Also, I chose to announce my big day on my birthday, as it’s the best birthday gift.”
She added, “I had originally planned to host a bash on my birthday but I finally decided to celebrate it with my family and Dipak. It was an intimate affair.”
Arti and Dipak first met in August a few days after his birthday and as things progressed, the former decided to commit to the relationship. However, we didn’t move forward until both their families approved of their union. On January 1, Dipak proposed marriage to her with a ring at Arti’s guruji’s temple in Delhi and she said yes. When we asked her about her maternal uncle Govinda’s response to her marriage news, the actress, who is Krushna Abhishek’s sister and has been part of shows like Maayka, Grihasti, Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Parichay, Uttaran, Sasural Simar Ka, Udann, Bigg Boss 13, and Shravani, said, “Yes, I informed Chi Chi mama about my wedding, and he was happy for me. I hope they (Govinda and his family) bless me at the wedding. In fact, I am certain they will attend because they love me.”
