Exclusive! Ali Merchant finds love again

Ali Merchant is in a happy space. The actor has found love and has been in a relationship with Hyderabad-based model Andleeb Zaidi. The two connected on social media and met for the first time at a fashion show in Hyderabad a year ago. Ali says, “When I met Andleeb, I was not looking for a relationship, but as they say, ‘Love finds a way’. She has an interesting perspective towards life, and her kindness and compassion for rescuing animals inspires me a lot. She is a strong woman and I couldn’t help but fall in love with her.”

So, is marriage on the cards? “We have been together for over a year now and are enjoying each other’s company. We are definitely heading towards something substantial, but there are no plans to get married right now,” replies Ali.
The actor-musician was in the news in 2011 when he got married to Sara Khan inside the Bigg Boss house. However, the two went their separate ways just a few months later. Post his divorce, Ali got married to corporate professional Anam Merchant in 2016, but they parted ways in 2021.

On the work front...
Ali, who has been seen in TV shows like Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gatha, Bandini and Shapath, has kept away from the small screen for the past five years. He was recently seen in the web show Libaas. Talking about it, he says, “I enjoy doing web shows more than TV. You are not playing the same character for months together, which makes it more interesting.”
