Exclusive! Aastha Chaudhary: My wedding was an intimate affair with families, close relatives and friends in attendance

, a doctor by profession, in his hometown, Prayagraj, on April 25. And by all means, the

wedding

was a simple ceremony, says the newlywed. In an exclusive chat with Bombay Times, Aastha shares, “Aditya and I believe that beauty lies in simplicity, and hence, we wanted every ritual and the big day to be as simple as possible. The grandeur shouldn’t take away from the memories that we wished to create together. Our wedding was an intimate affair with families, close relatives, and friends in attendance.”

She adds, “I didn’t want to follow the routine of buying an expensive lehenga. I had always planned to wear a red sari with gota work on it. Again, I didn’t want to spend insane money on it. My wedding outfit must be the cheapest so far (smiles). The cost of my sari was `7,500 and I can wear it over and over again because it is light.”

A reception will be hosted in Aastha’s hometown, Alwar (Rajasthan), tomorrow. The couple plans to go on their honeymoon in June. She says, “We are returning to Mumbai on May 5. We want to spend some quality time in the city and get into the groove again (laughs). We plan to go to Vietnam for our honeymoon in June.”
