Ekta Kapoor is nostalgia struck as her show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein ended on December 18. She has now shared a video of all the special moments on her Instagram account and called the daily soap her ‘most amazing journey’.
Bidding adieu to YHM, Ekta revealed that it was her longest running show in 25 years. She credited her team for its success.
Earlier too Ekta had written a farewell note for the show, which ran for a good six years on the small screen. The producer had shared that she wanted to cause a social change with the daily soap and called herself 'successful' in the attempt.
It’s not just Ekta, but the lead actors of YHM as well, who shared their parting notes on their social media handles recently.
Divyanka wrote, “We all experience a few moments in life where it's difficult to decide if we should be happy or sad or both. This is definitely one of those moments as I bid adieu to 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' – one of the most beautiful chapters in my life. I am happy for all the love that has been showered on me by fans during this unforgettable journey of 6 years and am also sad that this wonderful chapter is reaching its conclusion.
The role of Ishita was like a breath of fresh air, it rejuvenated me and made me explore different facets of my own personality. I didn't realize when I fell in love with Ishita as a character and it is now an inseparable part of my being. Whenever I visited different places in India or overseas and people called me Ishita, it would bring a smile on my face and I am sure this shall continue. :) I also found the love of my life on 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' which makes it even more special for me. What more could a girl wish for?”
Her co-star
Karan Patel shared, “As they say, all good things come to an end, and so, it’s time to say goodbye to our beloved show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. For me, it wasn’t just a show, it was a place where I found a home outside of home and friends who are now my family. I found brothers for life in Aly, Abhishek, Sangram and Raj and most importantly my father-in-law..."
YHM will be replaced by its spin off Yeh Hai Chahtein. It will feature Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel, the lead actors of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, briefly. This will surely be a treat for fans of the two.
Considering Yeh Hai Mohabbatein was loved for a considerable time by the audience, it remains to be seen if Yeh Hai Chahtein will receive the same love from them.
