Ekta Jain recently celebrated Maharashtra Day by connecting with fans via different social media platforms. “It is work from home even for us actors,” says Ekta, who dressed up in a pretty ethnic ensemble to interact with her followers. Fans were quick to praise Ekta’s look, which she achieved without the help of any professional hair or make-up artists.
“I dressed up specially to celebrate Maharashtra Day at home. I decided that my look should not only represent Maharashtra, but also Gujarat, since the day is also celebrated as Gujarat Day. So, I wore a typical Maharashtrian nath, a kurta with abala work, which is famous in Gujarat and a bindi, which is a popular accessory among Indian women,” says Ekta.
She adds, “We are entertainers and what better time than now to brighten someone’s day and bring a smile on their face. I urge people to spend this precious time with their family, helping parents in household chores, cooking and staying safe indoors.”
Ekta started her career by acting in plays and TV serials, which was followed by modelling and anchoring assignments. She has now returned to acting. Her ability to adapt to roles in various languages makes her a known name in the entertainment industry. Her upcoming Hindi horror-comedy film 'Khali Bali' will release soon. Apart from that, Ekta has acted in shows such as 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom', 'Kahin Diyaa Jale Kahin Jiyaa’ and 'Shagun'.
