Diya Aur Baati Hum's Anash Rashid celebrates birthday with onscreen wife

Anas Rashid, who celebrated his birthday on August 31, was in for a pleasent surprise. To ring in his birthday, the entire cast and crew of Diya Aur Baati Hum including his onscreen wife Sandhya got together and cut a huge cake on the sets of the show.

Deepika Singh, who plays the female lead on the show, and Neelu Vaghela (Bhabho), posted pictures from the celebration on their social media.Deepika, who plays his wife, wrote: “A very happy birthday Mr. co-star @rashidanas2016 wish you a blissful year ahead with peace, laughter and strength :)

Neelu Vaghela also couldn't stop herself from posting a picture with the birthday boy and wrote: Happy birthday to Anas mhara chora Sooraj

Diya Aur Baati Hum which recently completed five years of run on Star Plus, is all set to go off air. Its last episode will be aired on September 11. It has been reported that the show's low rating plus continuous tiff between the main lead is the reason why the makers have decided to pull the plug.
Recently, Anas also confessed that he will get married once his show is off air. In a report in The Times of India, he said "Every time I go to my hometown, this rumour starts. Yes it's true that my parents are keen on finding a girl for me and dinner table conversations are only about my marriage these days." Meanwhile Anas' show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' ends in September. He says, "I am not really sure when my show is going off air, but I will tie the knot soon after it gets over."
