Directing a movie was tiring: Mrinal Kulkarni

Mrinal Kulkarni needs no introduction. This beautiful actress has entertained masses through television, big screen and theatres. And now with 20 years of acting experience the beautiful actress had recently donned a director’s hat for upcoming Marathi movie Prem Mhanje Prem Aste.
Yes! You read it right, Mrinal for the first ever time had directed a Marathi movie with talented bunch of actors namely versatile Sachin Khedekar, beautiful Pallavi Joshi, seasoned Sunil Barve, Veteran Mohan Agashe, Smita Talwalkar, Talented Suhas Joshi, Neha Joshi and 4 school going children, who keep on asking Prem Mhanje Kay Aste?
On being asked on the experience of directing a movie for the first time, Mrinal said, “Frankly speaking I must confess it was tiring but satisfying.”
Mrinal has also penned down for the movie which is based on the changing style of marriages.“In my 20 years of acting journey, I always use to read in the magazines, on internet that people talk merrily about love and marriages. In fact there are so many jokes on relationship like marriage, which is not a blood relationship but which gives birth to a blood relationship. This is how it came to my mind that I can really do something on this concept which has been turned an issue these days,” shares Mrinal.
Talking on the storyline, Mrinal quips, “Story is about four generation and their views on marriage as an institution. First generation is of Teenagers, second one are of educated youngsters who are on their verge of getting married but are skeptical on whom to marry or no. Third generation is of people between 30-40 age group, who are married and facing problems like single parenting, divorce and last but not the least are old parents.”
The movie is all set to release on 19th of April, 2013 and we wish Mrinal a success!!!
