Dimple Jhangiani recalls working with Asha Bhosle
Actor Dimple Jhangiani remembered her experience of working with legendary singer Asha Bhosle, calling it one of the most special phases of her career.
Dimple had fulfilled her long-standing dream when she featured in a special music video, Tum Joh Mile, which was recorded for Asha Bhosle’s 75th birthday. The opportunity came through a fan who was working closely with the singer and recommended her for the project.
Reacting to the news of Asha Bhosle’s passing at the age of 92, Dimple said, “After hearing this news of Asha ji, it made me feel really sad, because we can’t imagine a world without our legend. I’ve been lucky enough to work with her, and she was such a beautiful soul, inside and out. That experience made me realise how genuine and warm she was.”
Recalling the project, she shared, “It was a great privilege to work with Asha Bhosle ji. Beyond being a legend, she was incredibly warm and down-to-earth. I shot a special music video, which she had launched for her 75th birthday, Tum Joh Mile. Working with her and sharing screen space with a legend felt like a blessing.”
She added, “It was a beautiful song, and we shot it at Malshej Ghat. The entire experience is something I will always cherish.”
Dimple also shared a personal memory, saying, “While shooting, she hosted us at her farmhouse and personally treated us. I still remember the Maharashtrian-style chicken she made for us—it was delicious. She treated everyone like family.”
Offering her condolences, she said, “I pray that her soul rests in peace. Her music and legacy will live on forever.”
