Thanks to a large number of weddings in Delhi on the day, traffic was a big issue that the baraat had to face. "More than the unavailability of cash for weddings, I think traffic is a bigger problem here," said Dheeraj.

Dheeraj's Mumbai friends totally enjoyed this Dilli ki shaadi, and most of them stayed for three days to be part of the sangeet and mehendi as well. "We were eagerly waiting for this wedding as Dheeraj is a very good friend, and we prepared a special performance for his sangeet 15 days before the wedding. It's been so much fun and I have shouted and screamed so much while dancing in the last three days that I can hardly speak now," said Pracheen. Ridhi Dogra, who has spent her childhood in Delhi, said, "During the wedding season, I am in Delhi at least once in a month, as I always have weddings to attend." Sangeet CeremonyDheeraj and Vinny's sangeet ceremony in Delhi was a fun affair. The groom and the bride could not stop dancing from the moment they reached the venue. Many of their friends from television had come to attend the sangeet and wedding.
Ssumier Pasricha, popularly known as Pammy Aunty, who was also among the attendees, told us, "Dheeraj and I have known each other for five years (he played Shailendra on 'Sasural Simar Ka'). Now, I am really excited that the wedding is finally happening."

"It's a double celebration for me because being Mataji, this is my Prem’s real wedding, and secondly, Dheeraj is a very dear friend too." Talking about the problem of demonetization, Jayati added, "When I reached here, yeh dhol wale meri taraf aaye aur unhone bohot dhol bajaye aur maine dance bhi kar liya. Par jab unhone kaha, 'Humare upar kuch paise vaar dijiye,' I started counting how many notes of Rs 20 and Rs 100 I have, and then I realized I have none. There is one good thing that has happened – mujhe apne credit card ka pin yaad ho gaya hai!"
