Digital show sees Tridha in a bold avatar

Tridha Choudhury , who is known for her role in the TV show Dahleez, is playing the lead in Vikram Bhatt's latest digital show Spotlight, which is a part of Viu's (Video On Demand platform) Originals catalogue. It is a love story that shows the life of Sana Sanyal, a small-town girl who must come to terms with the nuances of Bollywood.
In her bold avatar, Tridha has already stolen hearts, as the show's trailer has crossed over 1.5 million views and the episodes are nearing that mark, too.Interestingly, Spotlights has Tridha steaming up the screen in bold scenes with Sid Makkar, Arif Zakaria and Rajesh Khera.
She says, “When you say bold, for some reason, the connotation is usually very negative. What is actually offensive is that invariably, it is a lady who takes the blame. Sana, however, is smart, impulsive, glamourous, confident yet vulnerable. She wants to prove herself while staying true to her heart. There are instances where she fails. But what is amazing about her character is the way she fights back.“
Spotlight shows life in vivid colours, by making the digital series racy, steamy yet emotionally gripping. What is stimulating is that known actors and actresses from the film and TV industry are using digital platform to experiment with their characters. Viewers across India seem to be lapping up the roles the actors are taking on, and there seems to be no reason why you shouldn't.
