Naveent Nishan, popular from the 90’s was quite loved for her work in the industry. She was selected for another role in
Tara. Yes she was chosen for the role of Sheena in the
Raman Kumar directed show of 90s that ran for over five years on television.
Writer of the show Vinita Nanda tells us about the same. She said, ``Navneet came to meet Raman and me and we selected her immediately to play the role of Sheena. Then
Amita Nangia dropped by to meet us and with her curly black tresses falling over her shoulders down to her waist looked like the Sheena we should have. We were in a dilemma for a few days, because Navneet was too good an actor for us to not have her in the series.''
She further added, ``One day, she was at the office and we were all having chai together when I said to her that she should think about playing Tara. Although the title role, Navneet thought Sheena’s part will be more exciting to perform so she completely rejected the idea. Slowly both Raman and I were convinced Navneet was our Tara. It took a lot of convincing to do before Navneet agreed. The rest is history. She is such a good actor that no matter what the role is, she has to ace it.''
