Delhiites have a way of connecting with people: Nandish Singh Sandhu
"Shooting is fun in Delhi,” says Nandish Singh Sandhu. But the Jubilee actor got to experience a different side of the city while shooting for a web series amid the rains this time around. “I have shot in Delhi before, but never experienced such a heavy downpour. It was very difficult for us to shoot (in the North Campus). The shoot had to be halted. There was water around our vanity vans, and I was stuck in my van for six hours. I was feeling bad for the production guys, they lost a lot of time and money,” says the actor.
‘I NEVER SAID THAT I’VE QUIT TV’
Nandish, who gained recognition on TV with Uttaran, was last seen on the small screen in 2015. Although he insists that he has not quit the medium, Nandish says that he’s enjoying working in films and OTT for now. “TV is a longer, infinite medium. The creatives keep changing depending on the TRP. There is never a start, middle and finish to the story. You cannot design your character arc. Films, TV, OTT, they all have their audiences. I never said that I have quit TV, but this (films and OTT) is working for me right now. In this phase of my life, I am enjoying this because I get to play different roles,” says Nandish, who effortlessly essayed the role of Jamshed Khan in Jubilee. The actor adds, “Super 30 gave me a chance to prove that I can act. People did not see me as Nandish, they only saw Pranav Kumar’s character in me. ”
