Deepshikha Nagpal bids farewell to Jaipur as her role in show Main Bhi Ardhangini comes to an end

, actress Deepshikha Nagpal bid adieu to the show. Her character Mahamaya has come to an end and the makers have introduced a new track featuring a mongoose called Vikrant, played by Rohit Bakshi. On Friday, the cast and crew of the show threw a farewell party for Deepshikha.

The actress says, “I was informed around a week ago that my character is coming to an end. It didn’t come as a shocker to me because I understand that it’s a daily soap and makers have to try new things to keep the audience glued to the show. They have introduced a nevla track and Rohit Bakshi has been roped in to play the role. It has been a beautiful journey. This was for the first time that I shot outside Mumbai for a TV show, and that too for such a long time. While shooting for films, we go for outdoor shoots but this (shoot in Jaipur) was the longest.”

She adds, “I made a small family here and I am going to miss this city a lot. I explored Jaipur to the fullest – I don’t think there is any shopping mall or touristy places that I didn’t visit. There came a time when more than Mumbai, Jaipur felt home to me. I celebrated my birthday and Ganesh Chaturthi on the sets. I will be returning with so many memories, which I am going to cherish for a lifetime.” Deepshikha tells us that her crew members and co-actors were so disappointed that they told her, “Hum nimbu mirchi baandh denge par aapko marne nahi denge (in the show).”

So what’s next? “I will be going on a one-week solo trip to Bali, which has been pending for a while now. I will also be getting the interiors of my new house done – I am planning to shift to my new house in Diwali. I will be catching up with my friends before I get busy with work again,” she says.

Isn’t there any show that she has been offered, we ask. “I was approached for a comedy show a while ago, but since I was busy with Main Bhi Ardhangini, I couldn’t be a part of that. I am keen on doing comedy now,” she says.
