Deepshikha in place of Shama in Baal Veer

Sometime back, we had told you that the makers of SAB TV’s Baal Veer are hunting for an actress to play the antagonist in the show. This was after Shama Sikander, who plays Bhayankar Pari, decided to quit the children’s show.
And now we hear that they have finalised actress Deepshika Nagpal, last seen in Nach Baliye 5 and Hongey Judaa Na Hum.
While Deepshikha is being passed off as a new character, sources from the show insist that she is Shama’s replacement.
Deepshikha remained unavailable for comment, but producer Vipul D Shah confirmed the news. “Deepshikha has great comic timing and can also perform serious scenes. This was required for the role of Bavandar Pari — someone who is evil yet entertaining and furious yet funny,” he said.
