Aditi Sanval
, who has dabbled in theatre and featured in a few commercials, has been cast to play Faisal's love interest on the show. 'Chandragupta Maurya' will mark her acting debut on the small screen. Aditi will step into the shoes of
Pranali Goghare
to play the grown-up Durdhara, Dhana Nanda’s (Sourabh Raaj Jain) sister and princess of Magadh.
Aditi says, “I'm pretty excited to make my acting debut with a grand show like 'Chandragupta Maurya', which is being produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, who is known for his expertise in the historical and mythological genre. What’s exciting about my character is that it’s layered. I've done theatre and a couple of ad films, but doing a full-fledged historical show? I never saw that coming. I am glad that there is enough scope for me to learn as the women on the show have strong characters and are as important as their male counterparts. I'm looking forward to learning on the job.”
