DCW chief gets rape threats after her letter demanding removal of Sajid Khan from Bigg Boss 16

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal on Wednesday shared that she has been getting rapre threats on social media ever since she has demanded filmmaker Sajid Khan's removal from reality show Bigg Boss 16.Swati Maliwal tweeted, "Ever since I wrote a letter to the I&B minister to get #SajidKhan out of Bigg Boss, I have been receiving rape threats on Instagram. Obviously they want to stop our work. I am filing a complaint to Delhi Police. Register FIR and investigate. Arrest those who are behind them!"On Monday, Swati Maliwal had informed via her tweet that she has written to Union Minister Anurag Thakur about removal of Sajid Khan from BB 16 as there were several women who had accused him of sexual harassment.She had written, "Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment by 10 women during the #MeToo movement. All these complaints show the disgusting mentality of Sajid. Now such a person has been given a place in Bigg Boss which is completely wrong. I have written a letter to @ianuragthakur ji to get Sajid Khan removed from this show!"In recent times, several celebs have also objected to Sajid Khan's participation in the show including BB OTT fame Urfi Javed, former Lock Upp contestant Mandana Karimi, Saathiya actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee and singer Sona Mohapatra among others.
