Dal-bati-churma, lassi & a trip to Taj Mahal: Somi Khan turns tourist guide for Adil Khan Durrani

When entrepreneur Adil Khan travelled to Jaipur to meet his mom-in-law and other relatives recently, his wife Somi Khan turned into a travel guide for him. Recently the newly married couple was in town to meet Somi’s family. This was their first visit to the Pink City, after their nikaah in the city a few months back.

Bigg Boss 12 fame Somi and Adil spent almost a week exploring the historical monuments, meeting Somi’s relatives, and spending some quality time with family members. While Somi’s family took the entire responsibility for their damad’s stay, Somi went sightseeing with Adil. Says Shares Somi, “We have been planning our Jaipur trip for a couple of months and finally, we are here. The entire family is taking great care of their damaad, making him feel very special. Since he never visited the historical monuments here, I took charge of taking him to all the famous places here. We took him to all my favourite monuments like Amber Palace, Jaigarh Fort and Jalmahal. We also visited a famous eatery that serves dal bati-churma as he wanted to taste authentic Rajasthani food.” Adil too, had great fun in his sasural. He adds, “I’m having the best trip, with everyone taking great care of me. I realised how much fun it can be to live in a joint family with so many people living under the same roof. My mother-in-law cooked all my favourite dishes. I also got to eat some delicious dal-baati churma, some fantastic lassi. Somi’s sisters made our trip super fun with all their mischievous pranks.”

The couple also travelled to Udaipur, Jodhpur and Agra. Somi says, “Adil wanted to see the real Rajasthan, so we also travelled to Udaipur and Jodhpur.Our itinerary included Agra too, as he never visited it. A trip to Taj Mahal is a must-visit for lovebirds like us.”
Somi and Adil who fell in love in Dubai, got married at a private ceremony with only friends and close family in Jaipur on March 3.
