Charul Malik, a well-known television anchor-turned-actress who has carved a niche for herself with her dynamic presence and acting skills. Known for her love of travel, she often sets out on solo adventures, with Shillong being one of the destinations closest to her heart. Her independent spirit and passion for storytelling reflect both in her work and personal life.
Charul Malik has always had a passion for travel and ensures she makes the most of every place she explores. While she once loved travelling with her family, her busy schedule has gradually turned her into more of a solo traveller. Despite going solo, she takes time to research each destination thoroughly in advance, making sure she's well-informed before she arrives.
She shares, "One of her favourite places has been Shillong and the others are Sikkim and Gangtok. A trip for Charul is not just about a vacation but a learning experience too she says "You meet so many people and you learn so much. I have an in-depth knowledge of not just the history behind the monuments there but even the food I feel speaks a lot about a place. I am a foodie so I love to know and learn more about it.
Charul also spoke about how her friends reached out to her to plan their trips. She calls herself a trip advisor. She revealed, "It's been a while since I have been travelling on my own now. I have begun enjoying it a lot. Also one can do everything at their own pace and no rush. I am someone who likes to study the culture of the place in depth and I not just carry it with me while there but even when I get back home it helps me grow as a person. Nowadays, I have friends who call me to plan their trips. I have become a travel advisor (laughs) and I feel really good about it. Shopping while being in these cities is one of my favourite things to do as well. I bring them back as mementos and memories and keep them for posterity."
