Actor Chandrachur Singh, who has been a part of films like "Maachis", "Josh" and ""Kya Kehna"" is now embarking on a new venture. Chandrachur, who has also been a teacher in the reputed Doon School is now set to make his debut on the small screen. Singh will be seen as a host of a new cookery show which is starting this month.
The 42-year-old actor will be hosting the TV show titled "
Royal Rasoi", which is being produced by his brother Aditya Narayan Singh.
The show will have recipes of and from the the royalty of India. The show will have a meal laid out as if for a king and also have a brief description of the royal family the recipe comes from and also how the dish came to be in the family.
"It is a great travel-lifestyle-food show. It takes one to the roots and culture of India. Besides showing the recipes, what is more interesting is that the show will talk about the cultural diversity, history, music, art and architecture," says Chandrachur.
The show holds even more importance for Singh as through it he got an opportunity to visit his grandparents homes in
Kota and Karauli. "It was an enriching experience for me as it took me back to my roots. I got to explore these places and other new places. I cherish all this and also the fact that I got to learn a lot of things," he said.
