in an intimate affair at Pune last night (December 13). The couple plans to throw a reception party in Mumbai in the coming week. The wedding took place as per both Bengali and Marwadi rituals.

The actress shared a picture with hubby Rohit where she is seen dressed as a Bengali bride. Shweta looked pretty in a golden and red traditional Bengali saree with fabulous benaroshi and mukut. Rohit complimented Shweta in a black sherwani.

Together they made for a lovely couple.


Recently, the actress had amazing pre-wedding functions like mehendi and haldi where she was seen having a blast with her besties.

The actress also celebrated her bachelorette bash in Bali a few days ago with Rohit and her few close friends.

Shweta met filmmaker, Rohit Mittal, at

and the two hit it off instantly. Ever since their first meeting, there has been no looking back. It was filmmaker Anurag Kashyap who was instrumental in getting the two together as both Shweta and Rohit are close to him. The actress was loved for her character portrayal as Nandini in the historical magnum opus
