Celebrity Masterchef: Tejasswi Prakash reveals boyfriend Karan Kundrra loves this 'Maharashtrian dish' cooked especially by her
After the success of Celebrity MasterChef season one, the makers have returned with a new special edition of the show called 'Masterclass'. It was brought back because of the strong love and support from the audience. The first two episodes witnessed the favourite Celebrity Masterchefs, homecooks and judges Vikas Khanna and Ranveer Brar returning to host a Masterclass.
In the latest episode, actress Celebrity Masterchef's second runner-up Tejasswi Prakash gave a tutorial of her popular dish, a traditional Maharashtrian fish dish. This was the same dish for which she had won a special knife by Chef Ranveer Brar. While sharing the recipe of the dish, Tejasswi talked about her boyfriend Karan Kundrra's favourite Maharashtrain dish cooked by her.
Tejasswi revealed that Karan prefers only Maharashtrian-style fish. She often cooks it for him, and he enjoys it. However, she mentioned that Karan is quite picky since he's not fond of fish in general. If he senses any strong fishy smell, he refuses to eat it. So, to make it more appealing for him, Tejasswi ensures the fish is infused with strong garlic and tamarind flavors.
Tejasswi said, "Karan is a Punjabi so they are not usually very fond of fish. He loves only Maharashtrain style cooked fish. I think fish is something which I usually cook for him and he loves eating it. But he is very particular about eating fish, as he is not a fan of fish so if there is a fishy smell, then he doesn't like it. So when I cook fish I make sure it smells of garlic, tamarind or fish. That's why I add a lot of these things."
For this Masterclass episode, former contestant Dipika Kakar made a return. She had to leave the show mid-way due to her shoulder injury. She spoke about her recovery from the shoulder pain and how much she missed Celebrity Masterchef.
