Celeb Dads’ wish list for Father’s Day
They are TV’s perfect betas, daamads and papas in the values they espouse and the way they deal with difficult situations. But not many are aware that these actors walk the talk in real life as well. In fact, they want their brood to follow them, too. On Father’s Day today, some of these doting dads talk about the one quality they would want their kids to imbibe from them. Read on...
Hiten Tejwani
Obedient son, loving husband and doting father — that’s what Hiten Tejwani’s on-screen persona is. He is no different in real life and these are exactly the values Hiten wants his twins — eight-year-olds Katya and Nevaan — to follow. The actor says, “I feel education will take its due course, but as I have always maintained, they have to be good human beings first. Respecting and valuing people and helping those in need are the basics. In fact, I feel a father should first imbibe these qualities in himself and then pass it on to his kids.”
Arjun Bijlani
The young father wants his son Ayaan, three, to follow his heart and pursue his passion just as he himself has done. He also wants Ayaan to spread love. Arjun says, “I want him to follow his heart and have full faith in himself. Also, he should value time and be punctual like me, because when you value your time, it automatically results in valuing others’ time as well.”
Ssudeep Sahir
Vijayendra Kumeria
The actor wants to pass on his never-give-up attitude to his 19-month-old toddler, Kimaya. He adds, “I feel this attitude makes you a stronger person, who not only sets goals, but achieves them, too. I would always want her to chase her dreams and follow her heart without letting the society’s benchmarks affect her. This Father’s Day, I pray to God that she grows up to be an independent person and a good soul.”
Karanvir BohraThe actor and his wife, Teejay Sidhu, believe in making every person feel special. Seems like the quality has already been passed on to their one-and-a-half-year-old twins — Raya Bella and
Karanvir says, “I want them to bring a smile on everyone’s face. By God’s grace, they already have that in them. In fact, I would like to imbibe the quality of living in the moment from my kids. It’s amazing to see them cry at one point and laugh immediately afterwards, with no baggage of the previous emotion.”

The actor wants his daughters — Giti (15) and Sanjiti (9) — to be independent. “I want them to face every situation sensibly and with positivity. They should be honest and disciplined . Daughters should be empowered so that they don’t have to compromise in personal or professional life,” he says.
Yash Tonk
The actor wants his daughters — Pari (14) and Myrah (1) — to face every challenge in life with the same courage and smile as he did. “I want them to be survivors in all ups and downs. I was born in a village, raised in a town and made a carrier in a cosmopolitan city like Mumbai. It wouldn’t have been possible without this survival instinct. My challenges were different and theirs will be different,” says the actor.
Manish Goel
The actor’s children have totally taken after their father. Like Manish, his son Aryaveer (14) and daughter, Maliha (9) are helpful towards others and love surprising people. Manish says, “Both my kids are extremely sensitive and are always ready to help others. As a father, gratitude and humility are the two qualities I want them to imbibe in each day of their lives.”
Karanuday Jenjani
Amal Sehrawat
The actor wants his six-year-old son, Krishay, to find his own passion and not follow anyone else. “I want
Krishay to not judge anyone. He should treat everyone with equal love and respect, irrespective of their religion,
