Bigg Boss fame Pavitra Punia labels ex-boyfriend Eijaz Khan a ‘narcissist’; opens up about the reason behind their breakup
Pavitra Punia is happily single and focusing on herself after her breakup with Eijaz Khan a few months ago. Although both chose to stay quiet about their split initially, Pavitra has now spoken up. In a recent interview, she referred to Eijaz as a "narcissist" and mentioned that he had a dominating nature.
Pavitra Punia opened up about Eijaz Khan in a chat with Telly Masala, where she revealed the real reason behind their breakup. The actress indirectly labelled the Bigg Boss 14 contestant as a "narcissist" and even claimed that her relationship with him contributed to her father’s passing.
In a conversation with Telly Masala, she shared, “Koshish karte rahe. Ab yeh baat main bahut auraton ko bolti hoon. Aurat submissive achi lagti hai, no doubt. Aurat fragile, feminine achi lagti hai, samjha mujhe. Lekin jab aurat ek aise baithi hui hai, tab aap usko pucha karoge na? Aap se woh gently baat kar rahi hai na? I tell this to every woman, agar mard dabata hi ja raha hai, he is a narcissist. Mat raho. Hum dono ka aisa hogaya tha ke ek time pe aake try kiya kiya, par nahi hua. Too much masculinity and too much femininity side ka bahut bada role play kiya tha is relationship ne.”
(We kept trying. I often tell this to many women—there’s no doubt that a woman being submissive can seem appealing, and being fragile and feminine is also considered good, I understand that. But when a woman is sitting quietly, shouldn’t she be treated with care? If she’s speaking to you gently, shouldn’t you respond the same way? I always tell women, if a man keeps suppressing you, he’s a narcissist. Don’t stay in such a relationship. In our case, we tried, but it just didn’t work out. Too much masculinity and too much femininity played a major role in this relationship.)
There were reports claiming that Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan broke up due to religious differences. However, the actress dismissed these claims. She clarified, "No, that’s not true. In fact, my extended family was very happy. They felt that in our industry, such things as caste and religion don’t matter. I did tell him clearly that I wouldn’t convert. Joh insaan paidaishi apne dharm ka wafadar nahi ho saka aur usko chhod diya, woh tumhare sath rahega? Tumhara bhi wafadar nahi hoga woh."
(If a person couldn’t remain loyal to the religion they were born into and chose to leave it, how can you expect them to stay loyal to you? They won’t be faithful to you either.)
Pavitra and Eijaz met on Bigg Boss 14 and initially had many fights. Gradually, they became friends and fell in love with each other. During the family week, Pavita and Eijaz confessed their feelings for each other.
