Sofia Hayat has weighed in on the ongoing buzz surrounding
Abhishek Bajaj and Ashnoor Kaur’s relationship inside the Bigg Boss 19 house. The duo, who share a close bond on the show, have sparked curiosity among fans and housemates alike, with many speculating that something romantic might be brewing between them. However, Sofia has a very different take on their connection.
Speaking exclusively about the dynamics between Abhishek and Ashnoor, Sofia remarked, “To me, their energy feels more like that of siblings than lovers.” She elaborated, “Ashnoor Kaur, a very young actress, is currently in Bigg Boss. From what little I know of her, she seems sweet, innocent, and genuinely talented. Although she’s now part of a controversial reality show, I truly hope she doesn’t let the noise around her dim her light. This industry can be a powerful teacher it tests your integrity, your boundaries, and your connection to your inner truth. I sincerely wish her parents guide her wisely and help her stay grounded in who she really is, rather than what the world wants her to be.”
Addressing the rumors of a romantic link-up between the two, Sofia questioned the authenticity behind such narratives. “I don’t understand on what basis people are pairing up Abhishek Bajaj and her. It feels entirely like a PR-driven narrative, fan pages being influenced to make them look like a couple. Abhishek was married, and seeing his ex-wife’s reactions online is quite concerning. Still, it’s their personal matter, and I don’t wish to go deeper — I’m only commenting because these things are being projected publicly,” she added.
Reflecting on her own Bigg Boss experience, Sofia made a striking revelation about the show’s behind-the-scenes strategies. “When I was in the show, I remember the makers often encouraged us to fake relationships to entertain the audience. I saw it happen — Kushal and Gauahar, Armaan and Tanisha — many of these connections were staged. Because fan-favourite couples get paid more for events and music videos, people played along. I couldn’t do that; my soul couldn’t align with something that wasn’t true. That’s why the makers were disappointed and showed me the door,” she revealed.
Sofia concluded by reflecting on the evolution of reality television, saying, “This year’s casting feels weak because very few genuine souls want to enter that space anymore. Reality TV can either awaken you or consume you. Perhaps audiences are now craving truth over drama, and consciousness over controversy.”
