Bigg Boss 19: Kunickaa Sadanand resigns from her captaincy post; says 'You guys decide I won't be taking cooking duties'
In the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, emotions ran high as Kunickaa Sadanand decided to step down from her captaincy post after being accused of behaving rudely. The episode unfolded with Baseer Ali expressing his disappointment, saying that although he had sacrificed his own chance at captaincy to support Kunickaa, she later undermined him by calling him unfit for leadership.
This remark led to a heated exchange between Baseer and Kunickaa. Following the argument, Kunickaa made a dramatic announcement, declaring, “I resign from my captaincy post right from this moment. If this is how they think about me, I’m giving it up.” She further stated that she would no longer be giving orders, leaving the decision of appointing the next captain to the housemates. “You guys decide a new captain and I won’t be taking cooking duties. You all figure it out,” she firmly told the contestants.
Kunickaa’s resignation also meant that she was willing to give up the immunity associated with the captaincy. She expressed feeling singled out, claiming that her fellow contestants had unfairly labelled her as unstable and biased. The tension escalated when Kunickaa clashed with Farhana in a fiery confrontation. At one point, Kunickaa told Farhana, “Talk to my hand,” to which Farhana sharply retorted, “Don’t take privilege of your age.”
Several contestants, including Amaal Mallik, opined that Kunickaa often behaved as if she was the only one capable of handling the responsibilities of the house, which added to the discord.
Meanwhile, host Salman Khan introduced a new twist in the form of The Verdict Room, where the week’s topic was “superiority complex.” Contestants were asked to nominate who they believed embodied the trait, and most of them chose Tanya, while Ashnoor also found herself nominated.
The episode highlighted not just Kunickaa’s emotional breakdown but also the power struggles brewing inside the house, proving once again why Bigg Boss remained a hub of drama, confrontations, and unexpected twists.
