“Body shaming is unacceptable. What happened to @ashnoorkaur03 today was wrong and needs to be called out.
Respect and kindness should be the bare minimum. Shame on you Kunickaa, Neelam, and Tanya.”
The controversy began when Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri commented on Ashnoor’s outfit during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, claiming it didn’t suit her body type. Tanya reportedly said that the dress would have looked better on her or Neelam. Neelam further mocked Ashnoor by comparing her to a dinosaur, calling her “Jurassic Park.”
Tanya also added, “Fugge jaisa mooh lekar ghoom rahi hai,” which translates to “She’s roaming around with a balloon-like face.” Amaal joined in, saying Ashnoor “looks like an egg,” while Neelam remarked, “Dadi lag rahi hai,” meaning “She looks like a grandmother.” Another contestant, Shehbaaz, added, “Itni exercise lagati hai, moti hi rehti hai,” which translates to “She works out so much but still stays fat.”
These statements triggered massive backlash online. Fans accused the contestants of crossing a line and promoting bullying behaviour on national television. Many called their remarks “cruel,” “disrespectful,” and “jealous,” urging Bigg Boss makers to take strict action.
Social media has since been flooded with messages of support for Ashnoor Kaur, with users praising her confidence and grace despite the harsh comments made about her.
