Bigg Boss 19: Daboo Malik opens up on son Amaal Mallik’s crush, says every artist is driven by an ‘imaginary’ love story
On Bigg Boss 19, music composer and singer Amaal Mallik recently made headlines after revealing that he has a crush on someone inside or outside the house. While he didn’t name the girl, his confession quickly became a hot topic among housemates and fans. People have been guessing who the mystery girl could be, but Amaal’s father, Daboo Malik, has now shared his thoughts on the matter.
In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Daboo Malik said he doesn’t know who his son was referring to but believes that every creative person has a special love story — real or imaginary — that inspires their work. He said, “No I am not aware of it but definitely main ek cheez se convinced hu. Ki ek kaalpanik love story har composer, har writer, har creative aadmi ko jab tak ye cheez nahi hogi, ki wo kisise mohabbat karta hai, ya wo imaginary hai, ya wo invisible love story hai. Toh wo zaroori hai. Nahi toh wo gaana nahi ban sakta, sangeet nahi ban sakta.” (“No, I am not aware of it, but one thing I am convinced of is that every composer, writer, or creative person needs to have a love story — whether real, imaginary, or invisible. It’s necessary; without it, songs and music cannot come to life.”)
Daboo further added that he feels Amaal’s recent track ‘Kyun Mujhse Door Tha’ might be inspired by this imaginary love story. He said, “Toh I think he is talking to that invisible person, jo uski man ghadat kahaani hai, uske man mein hai. I think usi love story ke basis pe ye gaana ‘Kyun Mujhse Door’ bana hai.” (“I think he is talking to that invisible person — a story crafted in his mind. I believe this love story is the inspiration behind the song ‘Kyun Mujhse Door Tha’.”)
Amaal recently released ‘Kyun Mujhse Door Tha’, which has already received a positive response from fans. The song is sung and composed by Amaal himself, with lyrics written by Kunaal Verma.
Amaal’s brother, singer Armaan Malik, also supported the release on social media. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the song link, writing, “A special gift from our family to all the #Amaalians, on behalf of @AmaalMallik whose voice and music you’ve all been missing and waiting to hear again! Give #KyunMujhseDoorTha all your love.”
Armaan also posted about the song on his Instagram stories, expressing his pride for his brother. He wrote, “Amaal’s genius is undeniable, and we as a family are beyond thrilled to bring this song to life for his devoted fans who’ve been eagerly awaiting new music from him.”
