Bigg Boss 19: Awez Darbar and Rohan Mehra call out Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri for commenting on Ashnoor Kaur’s body weight
Reality show Bigg Boss 19 has been winning hearts with its entertaining episodes since the very start. A recent episode grabbed the audience’s attention after housemates Kunickaa Sadanand, Tanya Mittal, and Neelam Giri were heard body-shaming fellow contestant Ashnoor Kaur. Evicted contestant Awez Darbar has now bashed Tanya, Neelam, and others for their derogatory remarks.
Clips of Tanya, Neelam, and Kunickaa talking about Ashnoor’s body weight have been surfacing on social media. Netizens have strongly criticised them for their comments. Moreover, Awez Darbar, Rohan Mehra, and Jannat Zubair also expressed their views on the same.
Awez wrote, “Disgusting remarks like always!!! But I know @ashnoorkaur is strong — she will handle it with grace.” Jannat, on the other hand, wrote, “A person’s body is not public property for jokes and opinions. It’s 2025. We should’ve evolved past body shaming by now. She’s on that stage because she’s talented, confident, and unstoppable — not because she fits someone’s idea of a ‘perfect body.’ Proud of you, @ashnoorkaur, for holding your head high and being you!”
Rohan Mehra also shared his opinion, saying, “Body shaming is unacceptable. What happened to @ashnoorkaur today was wrong and needs to be called out. Respect and kindness should be the bare minimum. Shame on you, @iam_kunickaasadanand, @neelamgiri_, and @tanyamittalofficial,” adding a thumbs-down emoji.
Fans expressed disappointment over the contestants’ behaviour and extended their support to Ashnoor. Many wrote that body-shaming should never be tolerated on national television. One fan commented, “Ashnoor is one of the most graceful contestants this season. She doesn’t deserve such disrespect.” Another wrote, “So proud of Ashnoor for staying calm despite everything.”
In the latest episode, Neelam was heard asking Kunickaa and Tanya, “Jurassic Park dekhoge? (Will you watch Jurassic Park?)” while pointing toward Ashnoor, who was standing with Pranit More a remark that has now gone viral online and angered many viewers.
