Bigg Boss 19 is only days away from its grand finale on December 7. With the stage ready for the big night, the show is gearing up to announce its Top 5 contestants. Ahead of the finale, friends and colleagues of the housemates have been voicing their support for their favourites. Among those receiving strong backing is Gaurav Khanna, who is being cheered on not only by his friends but also by several former co-stars, and now, yet another colleague has joined the list of supporters.
Rupali Ganguly, who portrayed Gaurav Khanna’s love interest in Anupamaa, has now come forward to show her support for her former co-star. Gaurav, who recently secured his spot in the finale by winning the Ticket to Finale, received a warm shoutout from Rupali as he entered the final leg of the competition.
Rupali, who was spotted an event shared her views on Bigg Boss finale and the finalists. Rupali, who has also worked with Amaal Mallik in the past, expressed his love for him. She also revealed that she loves Farrhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal's gameplay. However, she made it clear that her Anupamaa co-star Gaurav Khanna deserves to lift the trophy.
Speaking to Buzzoka, Rupali shared, "I am very, very fond of Amaal. I love the content that Farrhana, Tanya and everybody have given. And Gaurav deserves to win. Jeetenge toh aap hi, Kapadia ji."
While Gaurav's fans are appreciating Rupali’s warm gesture, many also recalled the earlier rumours hinting at a rift between the two.
For the uninitiated, Gaurav Khanna portrayed Anuj Kapadia for an extended period in Rajan Shahi’s series Anupamaa. His character was romantically paired with Rupali Ganguly, who leads the show as the central protagonist. At first, he was signed on for just a couple of months, but viewers connected so strongly with his performance as Anuj Kapadia that his stint was extended to nearly four years.

(A friend is someone you can call anytime and share everything), I'm not on those terms with anyone, be it Rupali or even Sudhanshu. Even Sudhanshu Ji bolna chahiye (I should say Sudhanshu Ji). He's very spiritual, like me. He's a fantastic singer. I'm very happy he's coming out with new songs. I used to say, 'Don't quit singing, please'."
