Amaal Mallik is undoubtedly one of the most controversial contestants of the season. The singer-music composer has been in the news throughout the season due to his ugly fights to his derogatory remarks against contestants. In the latest episode, Amaal clashed with Gaurav Khanna over nepotism debate with both making strong points to support their arguments. During the debate, Amaal ended up calling his father 'a failure' and described himself as a product of “reverse nepotism to defend his discussion. However, internet is not happy with Amaal's statement against his father and they clearly expressed their disappointment.
Netizens slammed Amaal for using his father’s struggle story in the argument and criticised his unnecessary move.
In the latest episode, Amaal and Gaurav got into an tense exchange over nepotism and the insider–outsider divide. Gaurav pointed out that although hard work is universal, people with established industry links usually secure their first break much more easily than those coming from outside.
Gaurav remarked, "Jahan tumhara struggle shuru hota hai, wahaan hamara aspiration hai." Amaal responded, "Ussi tarike se jaise ek common man khada hai Mehboob studio ke bahar, mera bhai aur mom khade rahe, koi difference nahi tha."
Gaurav highlighted that because of Amaal's family's legacy it was easy for him to meet Salman but on the other hand, for someone like him, it would take 20 years to meet Salman Khan. However, Amaal disagreed with Gaurav’s perspective, asserting that every artist has similar kind of struggle. Malti, who had been attentively listening to the conversation, stepped in and pointed out that while hard work may be common to all, each individual’s struggle is unique and cannot be compared.

Malti even gave reference of her brother Deepak and Rahul Chahar. She shared because of knowledge and guidance from Deepak, Rahul's struggle was reduced to 60 percent.
Amaal responded to Malti saying that his father had failed in life and was on zero level. He said, "Mere papa ko kabhi Anu Malik ka support mila he nahi, hum reverse nepotism ke product hain sir. Daboo Malik was a failure and I have no problem in admitting it. My father failed."
Social media users were disappointed with Amaal's remarks against his own father and they called him out.
A user wrote, “Amaal insulted his own father and called him a failure on national TV just to prove his point and You said pure facts it means you agreed that father is a failure. Another one commented, “Calling own father a failure, Calling other persons ma a porn star, Insulting womanhood, Calling others naukars (servants), Snatching food plate and throwing it… And yes u shud feel so proud of Amaal disgusting Mallik. Walk of humiliation is what he does after the show.” A fan mentioned, "Amaal Mallik you are pathetic To prove your own success, you labelled your own father a failure That was so disrespectful of you. What an expose of a disgraceful part of your personality,”
Another shared, “Very very shallow”.

For the uninitiated, the show recently witnessed three back-to-back evictions. While during Weekend Abhishek Bajaj and Neelam Giri were eliminated, Mridul Tiwari had to leave the house during mid-week eviction.
