Bigg Boss 16: Sumbul Touqeer's team shares an official statement condemning that her 'emotions are being misjudged'

Bigg Boss 16 is now nearing the finale, after the extension, the show will be having its final episode in February. However, the representative teams of the various contestants are currently busy putting their opinions through via social media announcements.
Sumbul Touqeer's squad joined the league after Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Nimrit Kaur Alhuwalia's teams were seen fighting on social media.
Sumbul's team addressed the issue of her emotions being misconstrued throughout the performance with an official statement.
The statement read: "In response to the ongoing repetitive mockery in the show of Miss Sumbul Touqeer Khan, we, as the official team, would like to condemn it. A lot of things are happening in the show, and moreover, it's getting repetitive, which has forced us to release this statement. Our silence was perceived as weakness, but it was really just a matter of being prudent and waiting for the appropriate opportunity to speak up. Sumbul began working at a very young age, served as the star of one of the most popular shows, and her accomplishments have always made us proud. Her dedication to her career and selflessness helped her forge her own unique identity. For the first time this season, tears have been discussed as a sign of cowardice or weakness. Sumbul's emotions have received the greatest attention, particularly when everyone's emotions have been assessed differently."
The statement further read: "Not only has her individuality been questioned, but her character has also been criticized, and we didn't object. We continued to remain mute even though Papa Touqeer's name was referenced in almost every episode. When contestants were glorified for working in the kitchen and cooking for the entire house, Sumbul's hard work has been labelled as that of a maid. When loyalty used to be the key to the game, Sumbul's loyalty has been taken for granted. When voicing one's opinion was seen as a winning quality, Sumbul's opinion has been labelled as overacting. Why have the rules been changed when it's about Sumbul? We condemn the constant mockery of Sumbul Touqeer Khan on national television. Her individuality has been suppressed in order to highlight other things. She persisted, and we shall as well.

This isn't the first time Sumbul has been called out in the show. Earlier when Salman Khan had spoken about the actress' obsession with Shalin Bhanot, many celebs had come out in support of Sumbul post the episode. Sumbul's Imlie co-star Manasvi Vashisht had also spoken exclusively with ETimes TV about it.
He shared, "From the very beginning of the show, although this hasn't been highlighted. When Sumbul came into the house she felt connected with Shalin as they share the same birthdate, and come from the same city, one automatically gets connected and it isn't important that she would have the same bond with others. Just because they share the bond and she is a girl and he is a guy you cannot force somebody to admit something that she doesn't feel. To put it in simple words, she was only protective of Shalin when the whole fight happened inside the house. She was trying to make sure that Shalin doesn't lose his cool and that he stays inside and does not attack Stan back. You cannot call it obsessive."
