Bigg Boss 16 witnessed one of the most shocking moments on the show as Ankit Gupta bid adieu to the show. His elimination came as a shocker for many as he was not eliminated based on the audience votes, but on the basis of housemate's votes.
The actor was eliminated after the housemates were asked to vote out a contestant from the nominated ones who has the least contribution on the show. As Ankit's name got announced, good friend Priyanka Chahar Choudhary burst into tears and cried hugging him.
The duo sat in the bathroom together as Priyanka tried to digest the news. When all the contestants had given up the hopes that nobody would get eliminated from the show, Bigg Boss asked all the housemates to gather in the living area.
Bigg Boss then asked the housemates to give a name one by one and on the basis of majority votes, Ankit Gupta was shown the door. MC Stan, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Archana Gautam, Soundarya Sharma, Shiv Thakare, Sumbul Touqeer took Ankit's name for nomination.
This week Ankit Gupta, Tina Datta, Sreejita De and Vikkas Manaktala were nominated for eviction. While leaving the house, Ankit gifted his bracelet to Priyanka and asked her to not think much. In the upcoming promo, Ankit will be seen leaving the house and he will also get into an argument with Priyanka as she won't stop crying.
In the latest episode, Salman Khan was seen schooling Priyanka Chahar Choudhary on her decision of choosing Ankit Gupta over Rs 25 lakh of the prize money.
