Bharatt Bhatia: I want to see a change in the payment system because it’s a issue affecting most actors
Actor Bharatt Bhatia, who played parallel lead Raghav Choudhary in Tose Naina Milaike 2, recently opened up about the show’s sudden end, his future plans, and the financial struggles actors continue to face in the television industry. The show premiered on March 16, 2026, and wrapped up within just two months, leaving both viewers and the team emotional.
“It is natural to feel sad and experience a sense of emptiness when a beloved series ends, but that’s part of life,” Bharatt says. “Sometimes an ending is just the beginning of something much bigger and more exciting, so I have no regrets.”
Despite the short run, the actor looks back at the experience with gratitude. “It was lovely working with producers, along with such an amazing team of actors and directors. I got to learn a lot while being on set,” he shares.
Now that the show is off air, Bharatt is focusing on self-growth and preparing himself for broader opportunities. “As an actor, I’m planning to learn new skills to strengthen my personality—like singing and mastering different accents,” he says. He also reveals that OTT platforms are a space he’s actively exploring. “With the rise of streaming services, I’m auditioning for web series because they offer opportunities similar to television and films.”
The actor makes it clear that he doesn’t want to limit himself to one kind of role. “Roles are often categorised as romantic, villainous, or comedic, but I want to explore all shades over time and grow as a versatile actor,” he says. “Of course, I would prefer playing lead roles or characters that suit my personality, but honestly, I’m excited by any role that keeps my passion for acting alive.”
However, Bharatt becomes candid when discussing what he considers one of the biggest problems in the television industry—delayed payments. “The biggest issue is the 90-day payment cycle, which becomes a major setback for actors like me,” he says. “Sometimes we literally have to beg productions for our payments, and that’s extremely frustrating.”
He adds that these irregularities create severe financial stress for actors, especially during periods without work. “This experience is one of the worst parts of the industry, and I’ve faced it many times. I genuinely want to see a change in the payment system because it’s a major issue affecting most actors today,” he concludes.
