With the monsoon season casting its charm, actress Shubhangi Atre, widely loved as Angoori Bhabhi, opens up about her bond with nature and how travel brings her inner peace. Sharing her thoughts, Shubhangi says, “Monsoons bring a very calming energy with them, and I truly enjoy that. She reveals plans for a short retreat to recharge her mind and soul. “This year, I’m hoping to take a short break somewhere peaceful—maybe the hills or a quiet green town nearby. I just want to sit with nature, breathe fresh air, and spend time with myself.”On being asked about places she avoids during the rains, Shubhangi thoughtfully shares, “I usually avoid areas that are prone to heavy rainfall, flooding, or landslides. Coastal areas or dense forests can be risky in monsoons. I believe safety comes first, no matter how tempting the place is.”A mindful traveler, Shubhangi believes in simple yet practical essentials. “My travel kit is simple but thoughtful. I carry a strong umbrella, waterproof shoes, an extra pair of clothes, and a good book. I also keep herbal tea sachets with me—they help me stay warm and relaxed. And of course, a light raincoat is a must!”Explaining how travel impacts her personally and professionally, she smiles and says, “Travelling is a kind of therapy for me.
It helps me disconnect from routine and reconnect with my soul. When I travel, I feel refreshed, and that directly reflects in my work.”On her monsoon wishlist, she shares, “This monsoon, I’d love to visit Coorg or Chikmagalur. The green hills and rains make them perfect. Rishikesh is also on my mind for its spiritual vibe.”Balancing her busy acting schedule, Shubhangi signs off, “Even a short break can do wonders. It’s not always about going far—sometimes being with yourself or loved ones is enough.”
