Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai actress Shubhangi Atre made her first public appearance after recently announcing the ending of her 19-year-old marriage with her husband Piyush Poorey. The actress was spotted at the get-together and 8-year celebration of her TV show, Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. She along with her co-stars Aasif Sheikh, Vidisha Srivastava and Rohitashv Gor cut a beautiful cake to celebrate the 8 years and 2000 episodes completion of their popular sitcom.
Shubhangi looked pretty in a beige traditional attire as she mingled with her cast and interacted with the media. The actress has been successfully playing the role of Angoori Bhabhi in the show and she is loved by the audience for her comic timing and on-screen chemistry with Aasif Sheikh.
Shubhangi in an interview with Bombay Times revealed that her husband Piyush and she have been living separately for almost a year. Shubhangi tied the knot with Piyush, who is into digital marketing, in 2003 in their hometown, Indore. They were blessed with a daughter two years later.
The former couple tried their best to resolve their differences but they couldn't and decided to give each other space. In the interview, Shubhangi also mentioned that taking this decision wasn’t easy but she has come to terms with it. Shubhangi and Piyush remain cordial for their 18-year-old daughter.
She said, "She deserved love from both her mother and father. Piyush comes on Sundays to meet her. I don’t want her to be deprived of her father’s love."
