Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain fame Shubhangi Atre: Summers Are Getting Worse Because Climate Is Changing
With rising temperatures becoming harder to handle each year, actress Shubhangi Atre who has been a part of shows like Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, Havan, Chidiya Ghar, and Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, opens up about how she deals with extreme heat and why staying connected to nature is more important than ever.
Talking about her daily routine during summers, she says, “First of all, it is very hot and yes, it is unbearable, but I think keeping yourself hydrated is the key.” She adds that simple and natural choices work best. “Have a lot of watermelons and coconut water. If you are going out, use an umbrella. These small things really help,” she shares.
Being a nature lover, Shubhangi also stresses the importance of giving back to the environment. “I feel planting trees is everyone’s responsibility. It is very, very important to conserve our nature,” she says.
When it comes to her go-to summer routine, she keeps it very basic and natural. “Coconut water, lemon, and all natural things are the best. And of course, a lot of sunscreen if you step out,” she adds.
Speaking about traditional remedies, she says, “Sattu is the best cooler. I have sattu with cumin powder, ice, lemon, and black salt. It really helps in beating the heat.”
Recalling her roots, she mentions, “I am from MP where temperatures go above 40 degrees. People there even carry onions to avoid heatstroke. It’s a traditional belief, but hydration and light, skin-friendly clothes are very important.”
Shubhangi also expresses concern about changing climate patterns. “Yes, summers are getting worse because the climate is changing drastically,” she says. She adds, “The way people throw garbage in rivers and cut trees is very wrong. What will we leave for the next generation?”
Reacting to unusual weather patterns like unexpected snowfall, she says, “It is scary. We are creating problems for our future generations.”
Ending with a strong message, she says, “Plant trees, save rivers, use less plastic. The more we keep Mother Earth green, the more we will protect ourselves.”
