Karan Singh Grover and Barkha, who starred together in the teen drama Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, dated each other for almost two years. During her conversation with Siddharth Kanan, the actress revealed that their breakup happened because they were quite young at the time. As they matured, they gradually evolved into two distinct individuals, leading to their separation.
In the interview, Barkha spoke about Karan and shared that it was his kind nature that attracted her to Karan. She shared, "I was dating Karan for about two years. That time I didn't know we were so young, I don’t clearly remember. I know one thing that Karan was a very kind person. I am attracted to kindness a lot. Unko dekh ke aisa lagta hai na he’s very good looking, he has a great body, and people think he has a certain attitude but he has an inherent kindness inside him. I really got attracted to that because in Mumbai there are not many kind people. So whenever I find kindness, I’m always attracted to that. That was definitely one of the things."
She added, "But let’s not forget he is very good-looking. The six-packs were common, I was 23. What do you expect."
Further talking about Karan and her relationship and the reason behind their breakup, Barkha said, "Nothing, we were very young at that point of time. Over the years, we grew into different people. It was my first heartbreak in Mumbai. Our perspectives and views on life were different. He was also two years younger than me. So the maturity level of a girl vs a guy is different. Waise bhi grils zyaada mature hoti hain. As we grew older over those two years, that difference became more apparent, that was the problem. I am still very fond of him even today, and I wish him the best wherever he is. I am very happy for him."
Karan is now married to actress Bipasha Basu, and the couple welcomed their daughter, Devi, in 2022.
