She lauded Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor for their acts. Disha expressed her opinion about how "insensitive" and "unaware" the society is towards the trans community. "Saw #ChandigarhKareAashiqui last night and realised how unaware & insensitive people can get towards trans community! It was lovely film! And @ayushmannk you were soo good as Manu And @Vaaniofficial too! (sic)." Ayushmann acknowledged Disha's tweet and thanked for her kind words. The Hindi film actor wrote, "Thank you Disha!" with a hugging emoji.
'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' released in theatres and received a good footfall. However, within a month's time, the film has been released on OTT and with the weekend just gone by, many of them had the chance to treat themself with a film, just like Disha Parmar did.
