Avika Gor and Avinash Mukherjee starrer Balika Vadhu to return on small screen

Like many other iconic shows, Balika Vadhu will return on the small screen from today (April 13). Anup Soni, who played the role of Bhairon Dharamveer Singh in the show, announced on social media.

The show ran for eight long years from 2008-2016.The USP of Balika Vadhu was that it used to pose a question or impart a social message at the end of each episode.
Balika Vadhu showcased the life of a child bride from childhood to womanhood. While the first season focused on Anandi and Jagdish, who were married in childhood, the second season reflected on the lives of Anandi's daughter Dr. Nandini. She was also a victim of child marriage.
The show featured many actors, who gained much recognition due to the popularity of the show. Apart from Avinash and Avika, actors like Pratyusha Banerjee, Toral Rasputra, Shashank Vyas, Sriti Jha, Sargun Mehta were much appreciated.
