Atul Parchure dons a Punjabi avatar

Every problem has a solution and Bhavesh Vasavda (Atul Parchure) in R K Laxman ki Duniya proves the same with some quick thinking during the family’s trip to Bhavnagar. He and Bakula aka Vandana Pathak, dress up as Sardars, to escape a difficult situation they face after being conned by a travel agent.
Atul Parchure aka Bhavesh says, “It was a lot of fun especially since we were speaking Gujarati-accented Hindi speaking Sardars.Each time we were delivering a dialogue someone or the other on the sets would burst out laughing. It was quite a task wearing the turban, moustache and beard for hours together in this heat.”
Vandana Pathak adds, “Most of my roles now-a-days need me to wear a sari draped in the Gujarati style and I have been longing to try on some different costumes, and this sequence gave me the opportunity. The dialogue delivery did pose a few problems. Add to that, I also had to inculcate typical gestures of Punjabi women which are completely different from a Gujarati woman’s mannerisms. All in all it was a fun-filled experience.”
