Ashmit Patel: All my past relationships have taught me something
Actor Ashmit Patel says that being single at this stage of his life naturally brings marriage conversations his way, but he approaches the idea with maturity and perspective.
“I still receive proposals for marriage through mutual friends or people I know,” Ashmit shares. “I’m at that age where, since I’m single, it’s inevitable that such proposals will come.”
However, he is in no hurry to make any decisions based on pressure or occasion. In fact, when it comes to Valentine’s Day, he keeps it simple. “I have no plans this Valentine’s,” he says matter-of-factly, indicating that the day doesn’t hold any particular expectation for him right now.
Reflecting on his past relationships, Ashmit believes each one has contributed to his growth. “All my past relationships have stayed for a reason. They teach you something,” he explains. “I try to take the positive things out of them. I look at where I may have gone wrong and what I can improve or do differently.”
For the actor, relationships are part of a larger journey of self-evolution. “Over the years, I’ve kept evolving as a person,” he adds. “Every experience helps you understand yourself better—your strengths, your flaws, and what you truly want.”
