Asha Bhosle passes away at 92: Sudhanshu Pandey mourns the legendary singer’s demise
Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday, April 12, at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai at the age of 92. The late singer was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday evening due to a chest infection and exhaustion, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle said in a post. On Sunday, her son Anand Bhosle confirmed the news of her demise.
Asha Bhosle’s sudden passing away has come as a huge shock to her fans and has left a void in the entertainment industry. Anupamaa actor Sudhanshu Pandey shared pictures with the legendary singer and recalled the time he got to spend with her.
He penned down an emotional note for the late singer which read, “Apki goad mein sar rakhkar jab ye tasveer lee thi, tab nahi socha tha ki ye meri sabse anmol dharohar ban jayegi. Aayi, aap iss duniya ko apni sundar aawaaz se sajaa ke chali gayi, hamesha ke liye. Will miss you forever. Aayiiii D. Still hoping this is false news.” (english translation)
As mentioned above, the heartbreaking news of the legendary singer’s demise was confirmed by her son, Anand Bhosle. He told the media present outside the hospital, “Meri mataji Shrimati Asha Bhosle ka aaj nidhan ho chuka hai. Woh jahan rehti thi, Casa Grande, Lower Parel, 11 am wahan unke antim darshan honge. Wahan aaiye, aur kal dopahar ko 4 baje Shivaji Park mein unka antim sanskar hoga.” (She passed away today. Those who wish to pay their last respects can visit her residence tomorrow at 11 am. The last rites will be performed tomorrow at 4 pm at Shivaji Park.)
According to reports, her last rites will take place on Monday. She started her musical journey in 1943, making her debut with the Marathi song ‘Chala Chala Nav Bal’ from the film ‘Majha Bal’.
