Pankit Thakker has come a long way. Life wasn't easy for him as a teenager but he managed to cope with all the challenges that came his way.
The actor recounts, "I still remember the day when I lost my mother at the tender age of 14. It was a day that changed my life forever. My father could not cope with the loss and he lost his mental balance. I had a little sister to look after and as I grew up, I also had my own dream of becoming an actor.
Life was throwing everything it had at me all at once, but I was determined to make it."
The actor was born in Mumbai but brought up in Ahmedabad. Pankit says, "I came back to Mumbai in 1998 to pursue acting. It was a bold step for me. I came with Rs 2000 in my pocket, no contacts and no friends to fall back on. At just 19, the odds were completely against me, but I had one thing on my side - my mother's blessings and a heart full of courage."
Talking about his struggle in showbiz, he says, "I faced many challenges as I tried to make it in the entertainment industry. I had to juggle my little sister's needs, my father's condition and my own career aspirations. I had to learn the ropes of the industry by myself, with no guidance or support to rely on."
But today, Pankit is happy to have reached this far. He shares, "Over time, my hard work and perseverance paid off. I made a career for myself in this industry, and bought a house, a car and everything that I had once dreamt of. But the most important thing was that I had overcome adversity and proved to myself that I could do it. My journey is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Though life may throw challenges our way, we have the power within us to rise above it all. So to all those who may be facing challenges in their lives, I say to them never give up. You have what it takes to succeed, you just have to believe in yourself and keep going. As long as you have a heart full of courage, nothing can stop you from reaching your goals."
Pankit is currently seen in Janam Janam Ka Saath and has acted in shows like Dharampatni, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant and others in the past.
