As Madhuri Dixit celebrates her birthday today (May 15), actor Arjun Bijlani opened up about his admiration for the legendary star and the warm bond they’ve shared on the sets of the dance reality show Dance Deewane.
A known admirer of Madhuri since her Tezaab days, Arjun has never missed a chance to express his fondness for the actress. His playful flirtations and comic gestures to impress her on the show often left the audience in splits. In one of the episodes of the reality show Arjun finally got to perform a romantic duet with her on the song ‘Janam Janam Saath Chalna Mere’, a moment he calls unforgettable.
“I have been a fan of Madhuri Dixit since her Tezaab days. Her song Dhak Dhak Karne Laga became iconic. I always wanted to perform with her, but it would somehow end in comic banter with everyone pulling my leg and playing sibling songs. When I finally got to dance with her on a romantic track in the show, it's a memory I will always cherish,” Arjun shared.
Recalling the moment before stepping onto the stage with the dancing diva, Arjun added, “Yes, I was nervous. But she makes you so comfortable that all your apprehensions take a back seat. She’s warm, kind, and instantly puts you at ease.”
Their friendly bond has been evident both on and off camera. On social media, Arjun posted a heartfelt birthday message: “Happiest birthday to the lady jisse dekh kar aaj bhi sabka dil dhak dhak karne lagta hai. Happy happy birthday Madhuri ma’am.
